Psychiatrist Inpatient/ConsultVeterans Health AdministrationWHITE RIVER JUNCTION VA MEDICAL CENTER/DARTMOUTH MEDICAL SCHOOL2 VacanciesSalary up to $250,000.00 / Per YearWRJVA is a Carey Award-winning, 60 acute care and 16 residential bed facility, providing healthcare to over 23,000 Vermont and New Hampshire Veterans with services from our main campus and seven supporting Community Based Outpatient Clinics. We are closely affiliated with the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and the University of Vermont Coll! ege of Medicine and train medical students, residents and fell! ows in a wide range of specialties. A $6 million research program is dedicated to basic science, clinical trials and outcomes research.The positions, Inpatient/Consult Psychiatrists will serve a 50 bed General Hospital with a 10 bed inpatient Mental Health Service, multiple Mental Health outpatient programs, 6 community based outpatient clinics, a growing telemental health presence, and vital research partnerships with the Geisel School of Medicine, the National Center for PTSD and other research entities. A variety of clinical opportunities are available for the successful applicant in multiple inpatient settings according to interest and experience including telehealth medication management, management of dual diagnosis conditions and participation in an Open Access Clinic.The incumbent will alternate blocks of inpatient attending duties with consult duties. Training of Geisel residents and students is paramount on these services, and the alternating duties will allow for! maximal training for residents as well as opportunities for career development for the incumbents.Academic duties include teaching and supervision of medical students and residents. Research opportunities are available and encouraged. The ideal candidate will be a skilled clinician and enthusiastic teacher. Candidates should be Board Eligible or Certified in Psychiatry. Academic rank and salary will be consistent with experience.Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am to 4:30pm with some On-Call hours.Relocation expenses and/or incentives may be authorized.Come experience the breath taking beauty and relaxing small town atmosphere of White River Junction.
