Survivor Link Healthy Futures Case Aide [United States]


 
Survivor Link is an AmeriCorps program housed in the ASU School of Social Work, in the Office of Gender-Based Violence. Our focus is to promote healthy relationships in the community and address domestic violence by increasing access to evidence-based care. All of our members receive special education and training regarding domestic violence. We offer a range of partnership sites including domestic violence programs, shelters, schools, behavioral health agencies, and other non-profits.

Member Duties : The primary objective of the Survivor Link Healthy Futures Case Aide is to educate the community about healthy relationships. This 300-hour minimum-time service will be served in collaboration with ASU student internships at local community organizations. This service includes attend domestic violence trainings, delivery of evidence-informed relational health materials at internship site & provide resources to people impacted by relationship violence. Members may also support staff & the community through service delivery, community outreach, & other tasks as assigned. The AmeriCorps member is expected to develop & sustain positive relationships with community partners and survivors of domestic violence as a representative of AmeriCorps and Arizona State University. Community fieldwork will require regular documentation and supervision; members are required to submit OnCorps time sheets every week. Each AmeriCorps member will spend up to 20% of the term of service attending trainings.
