We are a managing general agent and surplus lines broker that helps independent insurance brokers place hard to insure businesses and homes. We are seeking a full-time Underwriting and Brokerage assistant for our fast-growing team! The daily activity consists of assisting with brokerage placements, interacting and connecting with our retail insurance partners, rating & preparing quotes, and working tightly with our team in China to ensure the quality of processing. We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic individual with strong interpersonal skills and an analytical mind that wants to be a part of something BIG! Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Processing of quotes.
- Assisting with Brokerage Placements.
- Assisting with the Contract Underwriting team.
- Pre-rating and draft/select correct policy language on insurance contracts.
- Documentation management.
- Interact with our team in China to ensure the quality of processing.
- Interact with our retail partners and insurance carriers and markets.
Qualifications/Skill sets sought:
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Technical competence.
- High school diploma.
- Insurance-related experience or insurance experience from related industries is required.
- A college degree is desired but is not mandatory.
- Ability to make decisions.
- Critical thinking.
- Quick learner.
- Positive Attitude.
- Is driven to continually grow and improve their skills and values feedback and coaching.
- Enjoys working with others in a dynamic team environment.
- PRIOR INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
