MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of the curriculum requirements for a bachelor's degree and (4) years of direct experience in an OKDHS program division or managing a technology environment.

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience.


Job Responsibilities


This position is responsible for supporting and maintaining technical solutions for Child Welfare that give staff the ability to use technology as a way to meet the growing needs of our Oklahoma children and families. The Product Manager is the point of contact for the business technical assistance, oversees the overall program, and is responsible for creating user communication and engagement plans.

  • Oversees the delivery of technical assistance to DHS employees
  • Ensures staff is trained, coached, and supported in the effective use of various software applications, computer equipment, printers, peripheral devices, telephones, and personal electronic devices supplied by DHS, including inventory tracking and vulnerability management of end-user systems, software, and peripherals
  • Focuses on creating solutions, optimizing processes, understanding user experience, and creating a comprehensive knowledge base of all DHS Applications and IT Configurations that are readily accessible and usable to DHS Employees and other stakeholders.
  • Liaison between DHS and its' support agency, OMES, to maximize and optimize the agency’s use of the State reference architecture
  • Supports current and future federally-mandated technology requirements
  • Develop user community, gather ideas to create solutions, and gauge user experience through meetings and interactions such as focus groups, user polls, and training sessions
  • Creates training content and conducts train-the-trainer sessions
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders across the technology and business teams
  • Provides ad-hoc decision support to the Technology Business Management teams
  • Act as a primary escalation point for outages and unresolved technical support issues.
  • Ability to work on a diverse team and directly with people from diverse backgrounds specifically racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and disabilities.

Preference Statement

Preference may be given to applicants who have the following:

  • Skill in directing and coordinating the work of others; and in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with state employees and officials
  • 4+ years of working knowledge of Child Welfare business processes
  • Experience gathering, managing, and prioritizing business requirements a plus
  • Technical knowledge of Child Welfare Information Systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
