Description: Central Vermont Medical Center is at present looking to employ Psychiatric Physician right now, this position will be ordered in Vermont. Central Vermont Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist to join the staff on our 14 bed Inpatient Unit. You will be joining two other attending Psychiatrists (who hav! e been in their positions here at CVMC each for thirteen years) to take care of patients on the inpatient unit as well as provide consultation to the emergency room and medical floor.
On call is approximately one night every three weeks with occasional weekends. You will be working with a highly trained, seasoned, friendly team of professionals including nurses, social workers and nurse practitioners in the context of a biopsychosocial model of care. We have excellent support from in-hospital IV teams, blood drawing teams, hospitalists and our own NP's who perform all histories and physicals. You will also have the opportunity to perform ECT in a state-of-the-art setup with our anesthesiology group. Third year medical students from University of Vermont rotate through our service and thus provide teaching opportunities. We have very strong working relationships with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Fletcher-Allen (University of Vermont) Medical Center and the lo! cal community mental health centers and receive referrals from! a regional network of healthcare providers.
Salary and benefits are excellent including two weeks of paid CME per year; seven weeks of yearly CTO (combined vacation/holiday) and tuition loan repayment. This is truly an opportunity to join a center of excellence.
