The Augmentative Learning & Movement Center is nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont and seeks a full-time co! llaborative Behavior Analyst to work within three independent schools and school based programs. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills as well as a thorough understanding in the theory, practice and application of Applied Behavior Analysis. Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification preferred.The ideal candidate should be interested in working within a clinical model along side a multidisciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Pathologists, Special Educators, and Classroom Teachers. The ALMC is supported by its affiliate Vermont Developmental & Behavioral Medicine which includes a Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrician as well as a consulting Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist.The applicant must be available to fulfill numerous roles to include direct service and the on-site supervision of programs and instructional staff.
The individual identified must have extensive experience in developing behavio! ral programs and ABA interventions as well as train and superv! ise staff responsible for program implementation. The employee must have strong educational skills and the ability to attend to numerous details. The position requires the employee to have strong skills and extensive experience in working with children and young adults who exhibit mild to severe behavioral disorders and developmental disabilities. Interested individuals must be willing to work directly with students who display aggressive and self-injurious behaviors that are often complex and intense in nature.
The employee must have experience working with students who have had multiple treatment failures, complex family situations, and complicated diagnosis.
