The starting rate of pay for this position is $23.04 and a 40% market factor adjustment is added to bring the total hourly rate to $32.26 hourly .
We are recruiting for 24 hour shifts, working 2.5 days while sleeping in the facility. This schedule provides 4.5 days off per week.

Overview
The Woodside Juvenile Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. The Nurse position opening affords applicants an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team providing best practices, both psychiatric and medical, to a population of adjudicated youth. Woodside utilizes a strength based, goal directed, family/youth centered model. Our mission is to provide opportunity for youth to change those criminogenic risk factors that require placement in Vermont’s mo st secure residential treatment facility for youths. The nursing/medical team provides coverage days and evenings with both direct services and consultation to a multidisciplinary team. This is achieved by nurses working 2.5 days sleeping in the facility. The schedule provides 4.5 days off per week. The incumbent will work closely with the administration, line staff, treating pediatrician and psychiatrist.
General Job Description
This class describes the full-performance level of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a facility setting. Incumbents in this class demonstrate independent and autonomous decision making within the scope of RN practice. Fully collaborative members of the interdisciplinary team. Care and treatment may involve individuals with a variety of physical, emotional, mental and/or psychiatric disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications
Possession of (or eligible for) licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont AND two (2) years or more of professional nursing experience in the nursing specialty.
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

NOTE: Must maintain Vermont licensure as a Registered Nurse as a condition of employment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Overtime work is required to maintain minimum staffing levels and for unannounced regulatory inspections and is considered a condition of employment. The ability to work overtime when required is an essential function of this job class.
