Position Title: Probation/Parole Officer III (Supervised by Malinda Lamb)
Work Location: Toledo, 105 E. Carleton Toledo IA 52342
Shift: Variable, non-fixed work schedule; evening group work required and weekends as needed to perform duties
Status: Permanent, full-time
Salary Range: $2,215.20 - $3,436.80 biweekly

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Supervision of clients who have been charged and/or convicted of sexually-based offenses in Benton, Iowa or Tama Counties, as well as cases that are not on supervision for sexually baes offenses in Tam County. .Other supervision duties may include pre-trial clients, clients who are on supervision for registry violations and/or females who have been convicted of sexually-based offenses. Other duties may include facilitation of treatment groups, attending and providing input during unit/case staffing meetings and other special projects that may include Sex Offender pre-sentence investigation reports. .
EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications requires graduation from a 4 year accredited college or university; OR two years of college (minimum of 60 hours) and three years human services/criminal justice experience; OR two years satisfactory experience as a PPO II in a district or a similar position in another jurisdictions or agency.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver's license and ability to be insured on the district's auto policy.
A flexible work schedule to include weekends and holidays
SOTP I or II certification through the Iowa Board for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers or the capacity to gain that certification within 2 years.
