Our opening for a Payroll Specialist is available now, but it won’t last long! This full-time non-exempt position will be a part of the Remarkable Payroll Department to collaboratively with all departments to coordinate and deliver Engage PEO’s products and services, including payroll, human resources, benefits, risk management, and tax administration to our Clients. Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payrolls. The Payroll Specialist will report directly to the Director of Payroll Operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Day-to-day payroll maintenance, including accurate and timely processing of payroll entries, garnishments, direct deposit information, and employee set-ups
  • Accurate and timely processing of all assigned payrolls
  • Performs analysis of completed payroll and troubleshoots data inconsistencies; identifies trends and potential issues and recommends solutions
  • Provides support and training to Clients and employees regarding payroll software and general payroll needs
  • Performs other duties as required

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to handle confidential information
  • Highly detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to self-direct, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and follow the process
  • Demonstrate an open-minded, team-oriented, and collaborative work style
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities; expertise in building and maintaining business relationships
  • Dependable and hard working
  • Data entry experience and fact-checking preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years large volume multi-state payrolls
  • Professional Employer Organization (PEO) experience is a plus
  • Proficient with MS Office and Intermedial Microsoft EXCEL skills
  • ClientSpace and PrismHR knowledge is a plus
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
  • Knowledge of basic accounting concepts

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Engage offers a competitive Salary and comprehensive Benefits Package.

The salary range targeted for this position is listed below. However, you should know that the pay rate may vary based on regional location, the candidate’s skill, and relevant experience. In addition, some positions may include a form of bonus or other incentive compensation, which would not be included in this salary range.

Hourly Rate Range: $23.00 - $28.00
