The Primary Functions of a Sales Associate:
- Support store management and staff
- Maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
- Help the store achieve sales objectives and increase sales revenue through stellar customer service, and properly and efficiently replenishing stock.
- Assist and encourage customers in making selections practicing suggestive selling and upselling.
- Educate people on the safe, respectful, and responsible use of our merchandise.
- Maintain appearance of sales floor, stock/storage areas, and exterior.
- Cashier (responsible for accuracy of sales, cash drawer funds, paperwork, and procedures).
- Be the reason someone smiles today.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform the following essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for selling store merchandise while maintaining the Company's standard of Customer Service including acknowledgement of all customers through verbal and non-verbal forms, such as a greeting/thanking, smiling and eye contact.
- Ensure product is properly marked with identifying codes, UPC’s, tags, visible warning labels, UN #, etc.
- Explain/educate customers regarding merchandise, promotions, and online platforms utilizing product knowledge and following Company guidelines.
- Make manager aware of rule infractions and potential safety/security concerns immediately (i.e. smoking to close to exterior exit or within the building, fireworks use on property, fire hazards, obstructions, threats, etc.).
- Answer customer questions in keeping with Company Handbook and Code of Ethics, directing inquiries to qualified employee when necessary.
- Perform suggestive selling and upselling to encourage increased sales.
- Record all transactions on the POS system and accurately process cash, credit card, and gift card transactions
- Assist with merchandising, stocking, reducing damages, test product, and shrink.
- Assist customers entering and exiting the retail area as needed, loading/unloading carts, and transporting purchases to their vehicles when necessary/possible.
- Stock merchandise while maintaining the Company's standard of Customer Service including acknowledgement of all customers through verbal and non-verbal forms, such as a greeting/thanking, smiling and eye contact.
- Communicate pricing, signage, showroom, staff, customer, legal, safety, and security issues to the manager.
- Attend and participate in company related events, demos, trainings, and meetings as needed.
- Perform other duties based on business needs.

Age, Education and/or Experience Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have at least 4 years secondary education.
Computer Skills
- Ability to navigate in a Microsoft Windows environment.

- Ability to operate electronic devices including smart phones, tablets, and computers using all major platforms.
- Ability to navigate electronic mail, text messages, social media platforms, and time apps.

Event weekends and peak season dates may require many 14+ hour shifts in a row.
