The Project Controls Manager will support Development and Construction ensuring that projects under development and construction receive the required support in areas of cost planning and control, time scheduling and project programming, quality management, risk identification and management, and reporting to Statkraft standards. The Project Controls Manager is an integral role in project teams during all phases of project development and delivery. The Project Controls Manager is involved in assurance activities and provide services to asset owners in relation to portfolio planning and management.


Your role:

  • Manage and co-ordinate Project Controller or activities in projects, and across portfolio, being run by the regional Project Delivery unit
  • Facilitate risk management processes, document and co-ordinate risks associated with projects being run by the regional Project Delivery unit
  • Facilitate Quantitative and Qualitative Risk Assessments
  • Co-ordinate Project Controls (Schedule & Cost) according to Statkraft requirements and current best practices within the region. Ensure established principles and processes are followed by project teams (internal & external supporting team members)
  • Manage and Ensure that the Project reports are correctly delivered on time
  • Ensure the QA routines, procedures, processes and similar are in line with Statkraft Brazil requirements.
  • Recommend corrective action to Project Managers and wider project team, from analysis by Controls Function within teams
  • Influence, with Project Manager's, effective Senior Management decision making based on objective analysis of information
  • Contribute with competence into the corporate Project Controls centre of excellence, by building expertise, sharing best practices and support training for relevant processes and tools
  • Recommend and influence process and system improvement opportunities when they arise
  • Month-end closing activities and project reporting
  • Project-end closing activities, final assessment and compile lessons learned
  • Liaise with Finance team to ensure consistent reporting and forecasting
  • Audit and review Project Controls and Risk Management in projects
  • Flexibility in terms of travel and mobility
  • Support in the development of Project Portfolio tools for the region

Qualificações
  • Masters or university degree in engineering, or similar with documented extensive experience in the field
  • Project controls experience (+8 years) from large, complex, international investment projects.
  • Skilled in physical progress control, performance reports, monitoring activities and forecast methodologies
  • Clear affinity with renewables and ideally relevant working experience in the renewable energy industry is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of relevant systems and tools including Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, Microsoft Project / Project Online and SAP is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
