Education:
Registered nurse who has successfully completed formal education program approved by the Vermont Board of Nursing, or state or national accrediting agency which prepares nurses to function in advanced nursing practice. Must also be certified by national certifying agency recognized by the Vermont State Board of Nursing.
Experience:
Previous experience as a nurse practitioner desired.
Will consider full time or part time (job share) arrangement.
Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to support Inpatient Psychiatry Service. If NP, prefer candidate with Psychiatric NP certification and demonstrated experience with Psychiatry patients.
Provides comprehensive health care to hospitalized patients in collaboration with one or more physicians. Must have strong knowledge of the management of patients experiencing acute episodes of psychiatric illnesses complicated by comp! lex medical problems. Must be experienced in performing acute ! risk assessments, comfortable managing acute clinical situations and be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Must have excellent communication skills. Previous experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner strongly desired.
Pay range: $33.49/hr - 52.83/hr depending on experience
