Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Mainframe Storage Administrator with (8+ years) of experience in delivery roles within IT Infrastructure and following experience.
- Experience with z System architectures preferably on z/OS
- Knowledge in z/OS , SMP/E, JES , TSO / ISPF , DFSMS Management, Capacity Management, z/OS Internals, HCD, DISK IO Gens, VTAM, JCL, others
- Knowledge on hardware such as IBM Ds series, HDS USPV disks, EMC, VMAX/ DMX, others
- Working Knowledge on migrating mainframe data on to new disk technologies.
- Experience with disk replication technologies (EMC SRDF/S, SRDF/A, GDDR, VMAX disks) and IBM DS Series.
- Experience in Installation and using IBM, EMC, HDS replication software.
- Experience in managing High Availability technologies GDPS PPRC/XRC
- Knowledge in RACF to provide User access privileges.
- Knowledge in IBM utilities ADDRDSSU, FDR, IEFBR14, IEBCOPY, IEBGENER, IDCAMS, ICKDSF, IEHINITT.
- Experience in monitoring and administration tools OEM /ISV Tools Tivoli Storage, OMEGAMON Products suite, BMC Mainview, CA SYSVIEW, ASG TMON
- Experience in Tape, DASD storage management and tools DFHSM, VTS, $AVRS and dispatch tools & DR drills.
Summary of key responsibilities
- Capture and process SVC dump with OEM Vendor.
- Interface with vendors for code upgrade, Address capacity planning activities.
- Security Management for Projects like Access Delegation, Restricting Access to System Resources.
- Maintain Address Spaces and guide for Alert management thru Automation..
- Parmlib and Proclib concatenation, customization and maintenance.
- Provide input to Automate support & manage the Storage processes.
- Administration and Configuration of IBM Mainframe Storage Servers (EMC, IBM, Hitachi), Console Systems & Tape Drives.
- Support for IODF/ IOCDS Creation for new Systems, Storage Configuration, Storage Policies. Implementation & I/O Configuration through HCD.
- Performance tuning thru RMF & Performance Monitor tool.
- Building SCDS using ISMF and ACS Routines.
- Review DASD Storage allocation to Projects and management through tools.
- Handle Data migration activity & review DASD Clean up activity.
- Storage Management using DFSMS & Tape Library Management.
- Design, Development, Implementation and support for ongoing Storage platform related activities

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
